REHEARSING THE FIRST SONG OF THE SHOW

This is me rehearsing what is for now, the first song from the show. Leta is good at drumming. If she wanted to pick it up, I think she'd actually be a natural.
PERFORMERS AREN't allowed to fill out tech forms

Leta asked me a lot of questions today. I am very happy that terraNOVA asks performers not to fill out Tech Forms. It can be overwhelming. She asked me lots of questions today and she is good at answering them.
We had to grapple with whether we are using glitter or face paint?
Mic or no mic? How many mics?
Lighting designer or no lighting designer?
Then she drew a picture. It was a nice picture.

Leta picked flowers today on her walk before rehearsal. I was worried there would be bugs in the flowers. But Leta's from Maine. So she doesn't worry about that kind of stuff.

The different colors mean things.
We even have special punctuation to signify what happens when .
We use notations that we call, "star shines!"

This is Paul Blaise Corning Jr. He is very very talented. I asked him if he would play rhythm and lead guitar with me for the solo show. But he is a high in demand kinda guy, so we don't know if the dates work out yet. Because he also happens to be an ASTOUNDING ASTONISHING AWESOME actor. Hire him. Well...after my solo show...well, then the solo show might tour...okay...so...I dunno...give him lots of money.

Leta and I asked Kyle to sign on board early on in the project. Not really knowing what he would be doing...only knowing that his overall presence, mind, and heart as a person makes for amazing shit. He makes me laugh a lot. And has that special quality to bring out the best in people. On the first night of rehearsal Kyle was having dinner with his friends, we were texting back and forth joking about bringing everyone over to our first rehearsal...that joke turned into a reality. I cleared out all the furniture and did a mock-thru of what existed as the solo-show--basically a list of all my songs and activities--the rule for the night was that I had to say "yes" to all things. So they called things out and we did them. I won't divulge too much of what was on that list. But it was pretty emotional and fun. Kyle brought Sarah to the rehearsal. And that was it. She was in the club. Because she has a very fun, spontaneous, generous spirit about her. I like her. We all glittered. We all kinda...just...like...did it. Leta, Kyle, and Sarah had brilliant feedback and the solo show kinda took flight after that night.
